Hot 92 Jams: Pulse of the Community and the Inland Empire Violence Prevention Coalition LAUNCHES Adopt-a-School Program AT THE ACADEMY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL
(PERRIS, CA) On Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Hot 92 Jams (92.3 FM) will partner with the Inland Empire Violence Prevention Coalition (IEVPC) in launching the “adoption” of the Academy Charter High School. The event will take place at Academy Charter High School; 515 East 7th Street Perris, California.
“During transitional periods in the lives middle school and high school children, it is important for them to receive support from the community around them,” said Khalid Shah, Board Member, and IEVPC. “That is why Hot 92.3 Jams and the IEVPC has come together to spearhead this important program.”
The Adopt-a-School Program is a year-long series that will target students to boost academic and school-based participation. As part of the program, the students will be able to compete for $250.00 scholarships in each the following categories:
Music
Video
Spoken Word
Academic Achievement
The program will conclude with a year-end concert, recognition of achievement ceremony and celebration sponsored by HOT 92 Jams.
